Our Journey

Since 1971, George’s has been a leading provider of heating, cooling, and drying solutions in the UK. We are committed to delivering the best possible service and high-quality products at competitive prices.

It’s been an amazing journey so far. Here is a little snap shot.

Founded by Brian Henry George

George’s started as a Hire Company with a huge fleet of heaters for hire.

1971

Head office set up in Skelmersdale (Lancs)

1973

New Partnership

Current owners joined the company and set up a Southern Branch in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire.

1984

Introduction of Air Conditioning

Branched out and added new divisions to the business - Supply and Installation of Air Conditioning Systems.

1986

Start of Major Projects

Carried out first major project, Rubens Hotel, Buckingham Palace Road, SW1W 0PS

1988

Working with new suppliers

Started importing portable air conditioning units and industrial fans directly from the Far East, working with leading manufacturers, whom we still work with today.

1992

The Cyclone Brand is Born

Set up of our own brand 'Cyclone'.  Range of powerful, high quality industrial fans.

1996

BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Temple

Supplied and installed air conditioning in Europe's first Authentic Hindu Temple - BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Temple.

2002

Daikin D1 Business Partner

Became a Daikin D1 Business Partner.  (Click here for more information on D1 Partner status)

2009

Oshwal Association UK

Designed, supplied and installed complete HVAC system for The Oshwal Association at The Oshwal Centre, Potters Bar, Hertfordshire. (Click here to see the portfolio of this installation)

2009

New Headquarters

Relocated to new larger office and warehouse in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. 

2015

Prince Charles (now King Charles)

Prince Charles (now King Charles), visited The Oshwal Centre. Managing Director of George’s was invited to meet him, due to our involvement in the project.  Installation and Supply of a HVAC system.

2015

London Marathon

London Marathon hired misting fans and evaporative coolers from George's.  (Please read our full blog by clicking here)

 

 

2018

The BLU Brand is born

Box Park Wembley & Croydon

Box Park Wembley & Croydon hired misting fans from George's during the Euros.
